Orazio Gambino, Ph.D. in Computer Science. Assistant Professor at the University of Palermo, Dept. of Engineering. Biomedical Engineering. He teaches courses in biomedical informatics and intelligent data analysis. Fields of research: biomedical image processing, image segmentation, DICOM standard, graphical user interfaces, human-computer interaction, and artificial intelligence. Associate Editor at IEEE Access.

Barbara Caci, PhD in General and Clinical Psychology, is an Associate professor at Department of Psychology, Educational Sciences and Human Movement, University of Palermo (Italy). Her studies and research are concerned with cyber-psychology, personality, human factors & ergonomics, UXs, human-robot-interaction. She collaborate with the I-Solouk group at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (Qatar). Scopus profile: here.
 
Carmelo Calì is associate professor at the Università degli Studi di Palermo. His main research interests are in philosophy and pschology of visual, auditory, and haptic perception, and in the perceptual foundations of design, aesthetics, and social robotics.
 
Roberta Martina Zagarella is Head of the Research Unit for Ethical Assessment in Scientific Research at the CNR Interdepartmental Center for Research Ethics and Integrity (Rome, Italy). She is also Co-director of the “Medical Humanities Lab” at the Università degli Studi di Palermo.
 
Francesco Prinzi received his Ph.D. in biomedicine, neuroscience and advanced diagnostics in 2023, University of Palermo. He is currently Assistant Professor at University of Palermo and affiliated with the Computer Laboratory of the University of Cambridge (UK). His research is focused on the development of diagnostic and predictive models through Machine Learning, Explainable Artificial Intelligence and Medical Imaging Analysis methods.

Antonio Chella is a Professor of Robotics at the University of Palermo and the Director of the RoboticsLab. His research focuses on cognitive robotics, artificial intelligence, and the relationship between robotics and consciousness, contributing significantly to the understanding of machine cognition and autonomous systems.

Giancarlo Geraci is a lawyer at the Palermo Bar, specialising in private law and tort law. He holds a PhD in Legal System Dynamics from the University of Palermo and also a post-doctoral fellow.

Guido Smorto is Full professor of Comparative Law at the University of Palermo (Italy), where he holds the Jean Monnet Chair in “Comparative and European Digital Law” funded by the European Commission. 

Rosalba Potenzano is a fellow researcher in Comparative Private Law at the University of Palermo (Italy), where she teaches Comparative Private Law and Digital Markets Law. She holds a PhD in Legal System Dynamics from the University of Palermo and is qualified for the Italian Bar.

Steven S. Gouveia is a Researcher Fellow at the Mind, Language and Action Group of the Institute of Philosophy of the University of Porto, Portugal, an Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Medicine Andrés Bello, Chile, and currently a Visiting Fellow at the Robotics Lab of the University of Palermo, leading the project "Trust in AI Medicine" (cf. here).
